Sweet
Catawba is back! Our winemaker says this batch is
not overly sweet and has the delightful crisp flavor
typical of the golden Catawba grape.
We were out of Rebel Red
for one terrible weekend, but just finished
bottling today. Stop by to pick up some of our most
popular red
wine!

Gone! |
A few of
Adams County Winery's wines are in low supply.
Scrapple and D'vine Ice
wines will soon be out of stock. Don't wait! Stock up on
these wines before it's too late.
Order
online or stop by the winery to get yours
soon.
Kelly Zimmerman (pictured at left), the
new manager of our downtown Gettysburg store, "25 C",
comes to us from Annville, PA...a quaint little town in
the heart of Central Pennsylvania.
Although she has held various "unique" jobs in her
lifetime, Kelly possesses a degree in Psychology and has
spent the later part of her career working in mental
health and childcare. Despite this, John and Katherine
decided to hire her anyway, thinking that experience may
come in handy at the winery!
Kelly loves meeting new people, conversing, and, of
course...WINE!! (Rebel Red is her favorite.) She is very
excited to be a part of Adams County Winery! Stop by and
say hello!
Please join us
in welcoming our new Tasting Room Manager at the Farm,
Terry Terrell (pictured at right). She is a lifetime
resident of Pennsylvania, currently residing in Adams
County.
She brings a
diverse business background, having spent time in the
account management field and the financial
field. According to her significant other, joining
the field of wine is perfect for her since she can "whine"
with the best of them! We are also
welcoming back Michelle Price, who has been with us now
for 5 years. You'll recognize Michelle's smiling face
when you come to visit! She's working at the farm and 25C
during her summer break from
teaching.
While in
Gettysburg, don't forget to stop by our downtown location
at 25 Chambersburg Street! There you'll be greeted with
warm, smiling faces and by the wonderful grapey aroma that
wafts throughout the store (and out into the street!).
Also, as participating merchants,
we will be open until 9:00pm every first Friday of
the month for downtown Gettysburg's "First
Fridays." Make sure you stop by and take
advantage of a great opportunity for a late night stroll
in this enchanted, historic
town!
| What's New in the Tasting
Room? |
As the temperatures rise for the summer, our
new Wine Freezers will keep you cool. We
will be serving frozen wine drinks by the glass on
weekends at the farm this summer. And you'll be able
to make your own at home, too, without special equipment,
using our new mixes and, of course, our wonderful
wines! Terry's favorite is Margarita Wine Freeze.
Pair it with our Majestic, Furhanna or Stray Cat
Strut....very
cool!!

Rusty's SPCA Birthday
Bash
Everyone, including your pet, is invited
to Rusty's birthday party at Adams County Winery. On
Saturday June 26th from 11 a.m. - 4
p.m., Adams County Winery will hold this event
to benefit the Adams County Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). Rusty has requested that rather
than bringing gifts for him, his birthday party guests
should bring a donation for the Adams County
SPCA.
DJ
Breeze-Mon, the
official DJ of the Hanover Area Parrot Head
Society, will be spinning songs to keep the party
going all day! The SPCA will be taking applications for
dog & cat adoptions, plus the winery will have wine
and food specials, a local dog trainer, and other
vendors of pet-related supplies.
Admission to
the birthday party is free to people and their furry
friends. A photographer will be on hand to take pictures
of the pets, which can be entered in the Rusty's
Sidekick photo contest and even put on a personalized
wine label.
Adams County
Winery has also labeled its best selling wine, Tears of
Gettysburg, with a custom label to raise funds for Adams
County SPCA. The label, which reads "Make Adoption Your
First Option," is available for a limited time for
$12.98. For each bottle of this special wine sold, a $1
donation will be made to the Adams County
SPCA.
Please
join us for this fun, family
event!

| Write a toast, win the ultimate PA wine
vacation! |
Good news! By now you may have
heard that Adams County Winery will be participating in
The Great Pennsylvania Wine Toast on Saturday,
August 14 at 4:00 p.m. (you're invited, by
the way). The event, which is happening at more than 50
wineries across the states, will attempt to set a
Guinness World Record for the largest wine tasting ever
conducted!
But we need a toast, and
that's where you come in. Now through Tuesday,
July 6, we're looking for the best toasts that
pay homage to Pennsylvania wine. Your toast can be long
(no more than 100 words, please) or short, humorous or
sentimental. Here's the best part: Not only
will the winning toast be read by our celebrity
toastmaster - wine lover, lifelong Pennsylvanian, and
racing legend, Mario Andretti - but the winner will
also receive a two-night stay in a wine region of their
choice, dinner with a winemaker and private tour of a
winery! This prize will be for two people - the
winner and a guest. (There are also prizes for each of
our five finalist toasts.)
