Do you panic when handed the wine list? Do you dream of achieving creative wine and food pairings?
The old "white wine
with fish; red wine with beef"adage just doesn't cut it anymore and it seems
that the techniques of perfect wine and food pairings tend to elude most of
us. Let us take away the intimidation factor and show you how simple wine
and food pairing can be. Impress your friends as we take you from cork to
fork. Learn how to determine the "weight" of a food or wine and how to use
those weights when determining what to serve or order. Matching of
components and flavor bridges are explained, as we sample some traditional
Pennsylvania culinary favorites perfectly paired with the delicious wines of
Adams County Winery.
Join us for our Creative Wine & Food Pairing Class and never fear the wine

Great News for All Wine Enthusiasts! You can make your own wine quickly and easily in your own home and we can show you how to do it!
Join us at the farm winery in Orrtanna for step-by-step instructions on how to make wine all by yourself. We start right from the beginning of your wine-making experience (like figuring out how to get the box open) and end with the final step of bottling your wine. You’ll learn tricks of the trade and tips on how to get the best product from a box. It’ll be even better than that box wine you purchase at the Wine & Spirits store (if you live in PA). The cost is $25 per person with a special discount after completing the class. There is no need to bring anything, we will provide everything for you.

Adams County Winery takes an informative and humorous approach to this subject. We will teach you about wine history, vineyard activities, the wine-making process, wine attributes and then (everybody's favorite), tasting. $35 admission includes a tour of the operations area, followed by food (a light meal at the farm winery) and wine. There is no need to bring anything, we will provide everything for you.
