John and Katherine celebrate 20 years owning Adams County Winery

When Katherine Bigler and her husband, John Kramb, came to Gettysburg on a Fourth of July weekend getaway in 1998, they had no way of knowing that it would be a life-altering vacation. Mother’s Day

09 May 2018

What does Mother’s Day mean to you? Each year, on the second Sunday in May, we dedicate this day to show our appreciation to one of the most important people in our lives. The day isn’t limited to celebrating our own mother but is also about honoring motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. It’s about showing our appreciation for their selfless acts, undaunting strength and unconditional love. Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis, who wanted to honor her deceased mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis, by continuing the work she started as an activist. Ann Reeves Jarvis cared for wounded soldiers, from both sides, during the Civil.
