When Katherine Bigler and her husband, John Kramb, came to Gettysburg on a Fourth of July weekend getaway in 1998, they had no way of knowing that it would be a life-altering vacation. John, retired Army, who enjoys history convinced his wife Katherine, then active Army, to take a quick weekend trip to one of the most historical towns in the United States, Gettysburg. During that visit they made a stop at the Adams County Winery to experience a local winery with a rich history of its own. Servings: 4 Ingredients: 1 Tablespoon Butter 5 cups Apples, peeled and diced (about 3 apples) ¼ cup Golden Raisins 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar ¼ Cup of Tears of Gettysburg ½ Teaspoon Ground Ginger ¼ Teaspoon Salt ¼ Teaspoon Dry Mustard 1/8 Teaspoon (pinch) Ground Allspice (optional) Directions: 1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add apples and sautee until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. 2. Deglaze pan with Tears 3. Servings: 4 Ingredients: Wheel of brie cheese cup of cherries 1/2 bottle of Cherese Masquerade Crackers Optional: Pine nuts Walnuts Dried cranberries Directions: Wash and pit cherries, then cut them all in half. Soak cherries in Cherese Masquerade for 30 – 45 minutes to let wine infuse. Cut rind off brie. Set oven for 350 degrees and bake brie for 10 minutes. Spoon wine-soaked cherries onto the gooey cheese and drizzle with wine. Top with walnuts, pine nuts, and dried cranberries if you want! Serve with crackers. Enjoy!

Ingredients: 1 cup of Entwine’d red wine 2 cups Hot chocolate mix 3 cups Hot water Chocolate shavings Mini Marshmallows or whipped cream Directions: In a medium pot or kettle, boil 3 cups water. In another pot, warm up a cup of Entwine’d wine, but do not boil. Once water is boiling and wine is warmed, pour water into large pitcher and add hot chocolate mix, and warmed wine. Top with mini marshmallows (or whipped cream), and serve with chocolate shavings as a garnish. Enjoy!
